5 Day Gorilla Trekking Uganda and Rwanda

This safari package offers an opportunity to go for gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park Rwanda and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda. The tour begins and ends in Uganda.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After having breakfast, our safari guide will join you at your hotel in Kampala and you transfer west to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. You will have en-route stop at the Equator for photographs and some educational words from your guide. Then proceed to Mbarara town where you will stop for lunch preceding heading through the grasslands of Ankole. Along your way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, you will enjoy the wonderfulness of the long-horned cattle before reaching the highlands of Kigezi commonly known as the ‘Switzerland of Africa! You will reach in Bwindi National Park in the evening; relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at Buhoma Lodge / Engagi Lodge / Buhoma Community Campground.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

After early morning breakfast, you will then drive to the park headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a briefing and direction of the activity. After this, you will be joined by equipped ranger guide in the forest to track for the Mountain Gorillas. You will penetrate through the forest, cutting the undergrowth, separating thick creepers, to track gorillas. The time taken to track the Gorillas is unpredictable since it depends on the movement of the gorillas in the quest for nourishment and shelter. Be that as it may, it can take from 2 to 9 hours. You will have a maximum of one hour with the gorillas and this will allow you to observe, take photos and interact with them. Return again to your lodge for dinner and overnight as on day 1.

Day 3: Transfer to Rwanda rare birds see in Bwindi Uganda Tours

After having a heavy breakfast at your lodge, you will cross the border of Uganda to Rwanda through Kisoro or Kabale border and drive to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. The park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas and with the richest ecosystem in Africa, with 178 bird species. You will have dinner and overnight at Kinigi Guesthouse/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge. (On full board basis)

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Pac des Volcanoes and transfer to Kabale

After having breakfast at the lodge, you will go to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing on rules and regulations followed while you’re in the jungle with gorillas and Gorilla group allocation. After this, you will be accompanied by an experienced ranger guide and penetrate into the forest for a great gorilla trekking adventure. An exciting trek through the refined foothills of the Virungas provides inspiring perspectives in all directions. The gorilla trekking activity is somehow tiresome however once you meet the Gorillas, you will doubtlessly disregard all the hardships you experienced to see the Gorillas. Once your track and find these gentle giants you’re allowed to stay with them for a maximum of one hour which will give you a chance to observe them and take photographs. After this great adventure, in the afternoon you will transfer to Lake Bunyoyi for sightseeing, you will watch lots of bird species. You will have dinner and overnight at Arcadia Cottages/Bunyonyi Overland camp / Amagara café and Restaurants.

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe

After a fully served early morning breakfast at your lodge, transfer back to Kampala, En route lunch and reach in the early evening do last minute shopping and continue to the Entebbe International Airport for Your flight back home.
