1: Kigali City tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
After having early morning breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked by your tour guide and transfer for a city tour in Kigali where you will explore the local market, museum, genocide memorial sites. After lunch, you will drive northwards to Volcanoes National Park. The park is commonly known for the Mountain Gorilla. Other mammals in this park incorporate golden monkey, black-fronted duiker, buffalo, Spotted Hyena, and bushbuck. There are also 178 bird species, and about 13 species and 16 subspecies endemic to the Virunga and Ruwenzori Mountains. You will have your dinner and overnight at Kinigi Guesthouse/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking and transfer back to Kigali.
After having early morning breakfast at the lodge, transfer to the park headquarters of Volcanoes National Park for briefing together with your trekking equipment and bottled drinking water and packed lunch. After, enter the forest for a great adventure of gorilla trekking safari, the trekking activity 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in their natural habitat. After this process of trekking, you will be allowed to observe and take photographs for a maximum of one hour, then after you will return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight as on day 1.
Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
After having early morning breakfast at your lodge, transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park with en-route lunch and visit the old castle in Nyanza then proceed to the park through the green hills of tea and the tremendous Nyungwe Forest. You will have dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge/Peace Guesthouse /Gisakura Guesthouse /Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking In Nyungwe National Park
After breakfast at your lodge, meet your tour guide and continue to the park headquarters of Nyungwe Forest National Park for briefing. Penetrate into the jungle in search for chimpanzee and other primates in this forest like extensive groups of Rwenzori colobus and vervet monkeys, olive baboons and grey-cheeked mangabey. The park provides a home to over 13 primate species, 275 bird species, 1068 plant species, 85 mammal species, 32 amphibian, and 38 reptile species. After this chimps tracking activity, return to your lodge for lunch while getting ready for the evening canopy walk. Afterward, return for dinner and overnight at your lodge as on day 3.
Day 5: Departure
After having early morning breakfast at the lodge, drive back to Kigali for last minute shopping and then transfer to Kigali International Airport for your flight back home.
