Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda
You will be welcomed by the tour guide from Gorilla Expeditions Ltd who will drive you to your hotel in Kigali. Take a rest, then after lunch go for a city tour in Kigali with stops at the genocide memorial centers and other different areas of interest. After the city tour, you will return to your hotel for overnight at Hotel des Mille Collines.
Day 2: Kigali – Parc National Des Volcans
In the morning after breakfast at your hotel, you can go for a guided city tour and visit some interesting, historical sites in Rwanda, incorporating the Kigali Memorial Centre. You will have lunch in Kigali before we continue to the most delightful national park of the nation: Volcanoes National Park. It is the park with rich montane ecosystems, from bamboo forest to open grassland and swamps. You will have dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / Kinigi Guesthouse.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
On the third day of your trip, you will have the chance to spend some time with the endangered mountain gorillas. You will hike through the green scene and hills of the Volcanoes National Park. You will spend a magical hour with these astounding creatures while the safari guide explains more about the family and their behavior. After this great adventure, return to your lodge in the afternoon for unwinding and enjoy the amazing perspective as you wait for dinner and overnight at your lodge as on days two.
Day 4: Parc National Des Volcans – Akagera National Park
After early breakfast at your lodge, you will transfer to Akagera National Park for an evening game drive, where you may see numerous night birds and animals. After this, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Ruzizi Tented Lodge / Akagera Game Lodge.
Day 5: Akagera – Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will try for a morning game drive for a close encounter with creatures, for example, zebras, antelope species and giraffes. Later, drive out of the national park, halting for lunch at Kigali town and proceeding to Nyungwe Forest. This forest hosts over 13 species of primates like the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and many other primates. Thusly a night walk this evening in search of the shy forest dwellers is rewarding and worthwhile. Here you will have dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Rainforest Lodge / Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel / Gisakura Guest House.
Day 6: Primate Tracking in Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, there will be a primate stroll in search of the primates specified previously. This is an entire day activity joined by National Park game rangers and trained guide. After this great trek, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Rainforest Lodge / Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel / Gisakura Guest House.
Day 7: Departure
Depending on your flight time, have an early morning breakfast before leaving for Kigali Airport. Assuming that your flight leaves in the morning or afternoon it is advisable to spend an extra night in Kigali.
