Mount Mgahinga Safari Lodge is located in the foothills of the Virunga volcanoes on the border of Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The lodge is made out of stone and tile bands comprise of 8 rooms and are found in a public area. The lodge offers facilities like solar power, hot water with an ensuite shower.
The lodge is being completely revamped, a sunroom facing the volcanoes has been included, new terrace and gardens created. The habituated family which used to live in Mgahinga National Park is no more living there full time, they move between Uganda, Rwanda and the DRC and can’t be trekked.
The Nkuringo gorilla group in Southern Bwindi Forest could be visited. You can additionally climb a volcano, enjoy bird watching, or simply take one of the most wonderful landscapes of Africa. An hour’s flight or a day drive from Entebbe, four hours’ drive from Kigali.
