I’m traveling alone, is there a single supplement charge?
If you are traveling alone (without someone who can offer your overnight accommodation), there will be a single supplement charge assessed, which depends on the trip. We have to do this since it also increases our costs. We calculate our rates based on two travelers sharing one accommodation (so the cost is partitioned by two for hotels rooms). You don’t need to travel with your lover in order to share accommodation; for example, two lovers or kin can join to offer accommodation and in this way avoid the single supplement charge. If your traveling alone, you need to tell us in advance so that we can book for your accommodation before your arrival.

How should I book my flights?
If you will start or end your safari in Uganda, you will use Entebbe International Airport. Airport code EBB. The Airport is located about 41 km from Kampala the capital city of Uganda. And if you will start or end your tour in Rwanda, you will use Kigali International Airport. Airport Code KGL.

What is the climate like in Uganda?
Uganda has a good and steady climate, being equatorial. Day time high temperatures in most places will be between 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit; overnight temperatures have a tendency to be in the 60’s Fahrenheit. The country gets rainfall, basically in April / May and again September to November. In any case, these rains tend to be brief and happen basically at night or early in the morning. Even during the rainy season, sunshine is generally abundant.

What type of wear should I bring with me to my safari?
Regardless of the time of year, make sure to pack clothes that may be easily layered so that as the nights get cold, you can add additional clothes and as the high temperature of the day sets in, you can peel back extra layers. It is also important to not wear bright colors like; white, red, or similar. We need to blend in with our surroundings rather than call the attention of ourselves and divert the animals. Make sure to also carry some water-proof clothing/umbrellas as you could experience rain showers, especially in Rwanda, regardless of what time of the year you visit. Carry along strong, comfortable, closed shoes for hiking. You can as well also pack sunglasses.

How active will our safari be?
During the game drives in national parks, you will stay in the safari vehicle. Then again, if you want to take a safari that includes gorilla, chimpanzee, or primates tracking; you will have to hike comfortably on somehow difficult level trails for various hours at a time. Our gorilla trekking trip can take from 1-8 hours, depending on the movement of gorillas in their search for food and shelter.
