This 3-day safari in Uganda will take you for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park in the southern part of the country. The park is one of the last remaining expenses to contain both lowland and montane forest. In eastern Africa, it supports the last significant expanse of pre-montane forest.
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After having heavy breakfast at your Hotel in Kampala, you will meet our tour guide who will drive you to Fort portal town arriving in time for Lunch. After your lunch in Fort-Portal, you will visit the crater region then afterward continue to the Park for dinner and overnight stay at Chimp Nest / Chimpanzee Guest House / Primates Lodge / Kibale Forest Camp / Ndali Lodge.
Day 2: Chimp Trek in Kibale Forest National Park
After having heavy morning breakfast at your lodge, you will go to the Park Headquarters of Kibale Forest National Park at Kanyachu for a briefing on rules and regulations while you’re on chimps tracking activity. Afterward, you will enter the park with the Ranger Guide in search the Chimpanzees which are Man’s closest Cousins. Kibale Forest home to about 12 species of primates incorporating the Chimpanzees, L’hoests monkeys, and the red colobus, Red Tailed Monkeys, Vervet Monkeys among others. You will encounter how the chimps feed and interact with one another. After this great activity you will return back to your hotel for lunch and toward the evening set out for the Nature walk in Bigodi swamp. Here nature stroll will reward you with the view of different bird species and also some primates. Bigodi swamp is well known as a bird watchers paradise due to the numerous bird species that can be watched in the swamp. Return back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay at your Lodge as on day 1.
Day 3: Kibale Forest to Kampala.
After having your morning breakfast at the lodge, you can head off for a cultural tour to the Toro Palace then after that Nyakasura where you can see stalagmites and Stalactites that are mainly alluded to as “Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru”. You will have an en-route stop for lunch in Fort Portal town, continue with the Journey to Kampala and then transfer to the Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
