6 Days Gorilla Trekking, Wildlife Safari Uganda

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After heavy breakfast at the lodge in Kampala, you will meet you’re your and tour guide and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park in western Uganda. You will have an en-route stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for some educational words from your guide and also photographs. After this, continue with the journey to the Park through Masaka. At your arrival in Lake Mburo National Park, you will go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo, where you will be rewarded with a view of plenty of water-loving animals like Hippos, crocodiles and more. Have your dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge/Mantana Luxury Tented Camp/Arcadia Cottages.

Day 2: Game Drive and transfer to Bwindi National Park

After breakfast, you will embark on morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park to search for animals like the Zebra, Impala, Eland and other savannah species. Also keep your eyes out for plenty of bird species like African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike and more. Later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The beautiful drive will take you through the Kabale district which is regarded as the Switzerland of Africa due to its topography full of hills and highlands. You will arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening and have dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Mist Camp / Buhoma Community Bandas / Nkuringo Gorilla Camp / Gorilla Resort / Wagtail Eco Safari Camp

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

After early morning breakfast, you will then drive to the park headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a briefing and direction of the activity. After this, you will be joined by equipped ranger guide in the forest to track for the Mountain Gorillas. You will penetrate through the forest, cutting the undergrowth, separating thick creepers, to track gorillas. The time taken to track the Gorillas is unpredictable since it depends on the movement of the gorillas in a quest for nourishment and shelter. Be that as it may, it can take from 2 to 9 hours. You will have a maximum of one hour with the gorillas and this will allow you to observe, take photos and interact with them. Return again to your lodge for dinner and overnight as on day 2.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After having heavy morning breakfast at the lodge as on day 3, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Ishasha sector in the southern part of the park.  The sector is famously known for the tree climbing lions. While driving through this sector you will have a great opportunity to spot some the tree climbing lions in Fig and acacia trees and also other animals in the area. You will continue with your journey to Mweya for a nature walk in the Maramagambo forest for primate watching and visits to the bat cave and the blue lake. Have your dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/Simba Safari Camp/Ihamba Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Game drive and Launch Cruise

After having a heavy breakfast at the lodge, you will set out for the morning game drive in the Kasenyi area. Here pay special mind to animals, for example, the Lions, Buffaloes, Leopard, Elephants, Kobs, Antelopes and many more. Come back to your lodge for lunch and toward the evening, set out for the Launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This will give you the chance to view wildlife up close, for example, hippo’s huff and spray mere feet far from the boat, buffalo linger in the shallows. The shores of the channel are additionally home to several bird species incorporating pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many others. After this marvelous afternoon, a slow drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Chimp trek and Transfer back to Kampala

After breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer for Chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge. The primate stroll will give you a wonderful experience as you slope down the steep escarpment and additionally enjoying different wildlife. After this, return to your lodge for lunch then afterward drive back to Kampala. Drop off will be at your Hotel in Kampala or at the Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
